I was using another brand of wings & struggled. Finally sold them one by one & replaced them with Ensis wings what a revelation. These wings have helped me improve so much. Getting on foil in light to strong wind is so easy. Was unsure about the handles initially but they are awesome. So easy to move along the handles to fine tune your hand position. The controllable power these wings generate is amazing. 6m 4.5m & 2.5m.
I have to say that I have not used other wings so I can not make any comparisons. The ENSIS wings are well built and the main inflation system is different but simple and allows easy fast inflation and deflation. The main strut is stiff and has two tube connections which also reduces the time for the air to escape from the strut when deflating the wing. I am new to wing foiling and have found the ENSIS wings easy to use with their long handles. The 5.2m has two long handles with a short handle in the middle. The 3.5 has just two long handles. These long handles make it simple to adjust the holding positions and how the power is delivered by just sliding your hands along the handles. The wings feel powerful though remain super stable in gusts and it is also easy to turn off the power by sheeting out. I have used the 5.2 about seven times and the 3.5 once. I am 87kg and the 5.2m has been great for me as a learner in 15+ knots though I have been able to pump up onto the foil in less than that as I improved. I am using the W1100 Moses (2100cm^2) which is like a gentle giant mounted on a 115L board. The 3.5m feels so light and yet so efficient and I was amazed at how easy it was to use on a windy day. I am so pleased with the wings that I am adding a 4.5m, not really because I feel it is needed, but because I like to be able to choose the best size for the day. The combination of the ENSIS wings and the Moses W1100 has made for an easy entry for me into this new sport. The fact that Ben provides awesome support for the gear he sells is like an added bonus.
Tried other wings, this one is superior in every way. I just wish i could have one of every size!!!
Stoked get my hands on the 6m Ensis wing. From the first session it felt awesome. Balanced and plenty of power to get up on the foil in around 10 knots of wind. Great service from Ben. Heaps of knowledge on everything foils and wind
